So you want to make money online, but how are you going to get this money? How are you going to get paid?
Many money making programs pay you through PayPal. You can also make safe payments for services and products, and accept payments from your customers through PayPal. PayPal is a popular choice because it offers a safe way to make monetary transactions over the Internet and opening an account is FREE! As the world’s number one online payment service, PayPal is the fastest way to open your doors to over 150 million member accounts worldwide. PayPal caters well to eBay users and is their payment service provider of choice. PayPal charges a 2.9% plus $0.30 transaction fee.
PayPal account, I strongly suggest you open one. It’s fast, easy, and free. To sign up, go to PayPal’s web site: www.paypal.com.
But what if you don’t want to use PayPal as your online payment/merchant service provider? Are there any alternatives? YES! Lots of them.
Here are few…
1. Alert Pay
AlertPay caters more toward less serviceable markets, such as
MLM. AlertPay is based in Canada, and has been in business since
2004. It is currently the most favorable alternative to PayPal, with an
introductory transaction rate of 2.5%. Learn more about Alert or sign
up for a free account at their web site: www.alertpay.com.
2. Moneybookers
Any business or consumer with an email address can use
Moneybookers to securely and cost-effectively send and receive
payments online via email. Moneybookers, a global payment
servicer company, is ideally suited for small businesses, online
merchants, individuals and others currently underserved by traditional
payment mechanisms. Transaction fees range from 1% to 2.9%.
For more information, or to open your FREE account, visit
www.moneybookers.com.
3. Google Checkout
Google Checkout is an online payment processing service provided
by Google aimed at simplifying the process of paying for online
purchases. Google Checkout gives your customers a faster, safer
way to shop online. Unlike PayPal, Google Checkout does not permit
the use of stored funds, nor allows payments from person to person.
Instead, Google Checkout focuses on enabling one-time payments to
be made from a purchaser to a merchant. Users store their credit or
debit card and shipping information in their Google Account, so that
they can purchase at participating stores at the click of a button.
Google Checkout charges merchants 2.0% plus $0.20 per
transaction. Sign up for a FREE Google Checkout account HERE.
4. Digital River
Digital River is a shopping cart provider that caters to software
providers. In addition to basic shopping cart features, Digital River
can implement new features, depending on client needs, such as
multi-currency support for overseas expansion or integrating “try
before you buy” options. Digital River’s best features are that it does
not hold sellers’ money, will take the hit if a product needs to be
returned, has no up-front cost, and won’t charge until the first sale.
After that, fees are based on performance, starting with a 2.9% plus
$1.00 transaction fee.
5. TrialPay
TrialPay pairs merchants with advertises to boost sales for both and
offer consumers a chance to get products they’re looking at for free.
The merchants enlisted with TrialPay give away their products for
free when a shopper completes an offer from one of TrialPay’s client
advertisers. The advertiser then pays the merchant a bounty that
equals or exceeds the product price. The TrialPay system works best
for those selling ebooks or software that can be downloaded instantly.
There are many others too, like E-Gold, SafePay, TrialPay, Revolution Money Exchange, 2Checkout, E-junkie, SFI Pay, E-Bullion, and Solid Trust Pay. To learn more about these and other alternatives, visit: www.money-maker-sites.com/Getting_Paid.html

5 Tips to Improve SEO June 3, 2008
Posted by moneymaking101 in Uncategorized.Tags: Search Engine Optimization, SEO, web site ranking
1 comment so far
First of all, for those who need clarification, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization–the process of improving your web site’s rankings in the top searche engines. There are many ways to acheive tops search engine rankings. Here I will list 5 of them.
1. Identify Your Best Keywords. Research and identify effective keyword phrases that are relevant to your web site, it’s content, and your product or service. It is important to be sure these phrases are the ones your potential customers and/or clients are using in search engines. It is also a good idea to choose keywords that do not have too much competition. You can read more about how to do this in future posts.
Mulitple words that are as specific as possible are the best choices. For example, for your weight management consulting business, it would be difficult to rank for the keyword phrase, “weight management consulting”, but a more specific phrase like, “houston weight management consulting” would get you a better ranking, and produce more targted traffic.
It also helps to go bold. Use the <b></b> tags around some, not all, of your keyword phrases throughout your site. Do NOT use them everytime the keyward appears; once or twice per page is enough.
2. Utilize Article Exchanges. Article exchanges are similar to link exchanges, but much more useful and effective. The concept is quite simple. You publish another person’s article on the benefits of affiliate marketing with a link back to their site. They, in turn, publish your article about the most effective affiliate networks ontheir site, and link back to yours. Both of you get high quality links.
3. Make Sure to Have a Site Map. Every large, multiple page site should have a site map. And every page (or at least the ones you want getting traffic) on the site needs to link to the site map. That way, the search engine robots are able to find every page with only two clicks. Smaller sites need a site maps too, but they’re usually called navigation bars. An important thing to consider about your navigation bar, is that the image links in your nav bar must also include text links. Place the text links at the beginning of the source codes, since the search engine robots will follow the first link they find to any particular page. They will not follow additional links to the same page.
4. Join Forums Dedicated to SEO. By joining online forums or subscribing to SEO newsletters dedicated to helping users gain SEO knowledge by exchanging information, you can educate yourself on the best and latest SEO strategies. This is a highly recommened resource for web site owners who have questions about SEO, and want ansers fast. The responses are often times insightful and lend to be very profitable.
5. Submit Your Sites to Directories. Another great way to optimize your website is to submit it to directories such as Yahoo! and Dmoz ODP (Open Directory Project). These directories can have a significant effect on your search engine optimization through the increased traffic they can provide. By listing your site in web site directories, you enable search engines to index your web site.
The links in web site directories are collected, edited and organized by humans. Because these directories get thousands of daily submissions, it can be difficult to get listed, and your site may take as long as 4 to 6 months to be reviewed and listed. Most sites in these type of directories are listed by topic.
You do not have to be a professional SEO guru or a computer geek to reach the top 10 search engine rankings. You can do so simply by acquiring and developing the right SEO knowledge, producing a well organized web site with high quality content, and creating a plan to apply your SEO knowledge. It won’t happen over night, but it can, and will, happen.
For highly competitive keyword phrases in the most competitive niche markets, it generally takes a web site anywhere from six months to two years to have a decent chance of achieving a top 10 ranking. The more competitive the niche markets (i.e. real estate, travel and Internet marketing), take the longest.
Getting traffic with traffic exchanges June 1, 2008

Most people know, your web site can’t generate any income for you if it’s not generating any traffic or enough of it. The best way to get FREE traffic is to join a traffic exchange (TE). A TE can easily be compared to a classified ad network on steroids. TE sites receive web site submissions from web site owners that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the web site then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved. Basically, it’s founded on the old “you show me yours and I will show you mine” concept.
As the viewers are all website owners or affiliates, it is possible that some might find certain member sites interesting and thus make note of them on their own sites, sending more traffic their way. TEs are mainly targeted to money making opportunity seekers, so if your in this market, a TE is as targeted as it gets.
All TEs impose a time limit for page surfing (usually between 10 and 60 seconds), though not all TEs are the created the same. They all have varying surfing ratios. Many also incorporate anti-cheat methods. Some incorporate the use of captcha or other form of view verification to ensure user interaction, incorporate games to make surfing fun, and have a reward system for paying attention. Some even pay you to surf! Almost all traffic exchange programs are free, although many of them offer special features to paid members (upgraded members) and offer the option to purchase credits if you don’t want to or don’t have time to surf for your credits.
Traffic exchange programs are great for small business owners or marketers who either want free advertising. They’ve been around for over 10 years, and have showed no signs of slowing.
